Implementation of PANABIOS Digital Verification of COVID-19 PCR Test Results in Ghana

Implementation of PANABIOS Digital Verification of COVID-19 PCR Test Results in Ghana

Apr 26- 2021

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in The Hague wishes to inform the general public that the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service is implementing the digitization of COVID-19 test results for ease of verification prior to travel and upon arrival in Ghana. The new technology, which covers all authorised PCR testing laboratories in Ghana is expected to stop the circulation of fake test results in Ghana.

In that regard, it should be noted that only PCR test results or certificates bearing Trusted Travel or Biomars codes will be considered as valid for travel out of Ghana with effect from 21st April, 2021.

All travellers arriving in Ghana must sign up for accounts on trustedtravel.panabios.org made available through the UNDP-supported Global Heaven Partnership for COVID-19 PCR test results certificate verification with the same email address and mobile number provided to the laboratories during testing.

Further information about the initiative is available at www.ghanahealthservice.org/covid19 or www.africacdc.org/trusted-travel.

Passengers who do not comply will not be allowed to enter Ghana.
