The Mission in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority facilitated Ghana’s participation in this year’s Vakantiebeurs (Holiday Fair) held in Utrecht from 16 to19 January, 2020. Ghana’s delegation was led by the Chief Executive of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman and the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Ms. Sophia Horner-Sam.

Also included in the delegation were officials of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Embassy staff from The Hague and representatives of major tour operators in Ghana.

The Ghana stand showcased information on Ghana’s tourist attractions, Ghanaian cultural dance and sumptuous Ghanaian dishes which made the Ghana Stand a centre of attraction at the fair.

The Head of Mission, H.E. Horner-Sam used the occasion to outline tourist attractions and investment potentials in Ghana to the audience and prospective investors and invited them to visit Ghana following a successful organisation of the “Year of Return”.
